1. What data the app stores
ucm allows you to record personal financial transactions, set budgets, and track spending. All of this information is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
If you choose to enable iCloud sync, your data is synced between your own Apple devices through your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. We have no access to your iCloud data. Apple's privacy policy governs iCloud storage.
2. Data we do not collect
We do not collect:
- Names, email addresses, or any contact information
- Financial amounts, categories, or transaction history
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Location data
- Usage analytics or crash reports
There are no accounts, no logins, and no sign-up of any kind.
3. AI Receipt Scanning
ucm includes an optional AI-powered receipt scanner. If you choose to use this feature by entering your own OpenAI API key, receipt images are sent directly from your device to OpenAI's API for processing. Your API key is stored locally on your device and is never shared with us. Please review OpenAI's privacy policy for how they handle image data.
4. Third-party SDKs and frameworks
The app uses no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. It uses only Apple's first-party frameworks (SwiftUI, SwiftData, StoreKit, CloudKit).
5. Purchases
ucm offers a one-time in-app purchase to unlock Pro features. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not handle or store any payment information.
6. Data deletion
Because all data is stored on your device (and optionally in your own iCloud account), you can delete all app data at any time by uninstalling the app. No data remains on any server after deletion because no data was ever sent to ours.
7. Children's privacy
The app does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
8. Changes to this policy
If we ever add features that collect data, this policy will be updated before that feature ships and you will be notified within the app.
